The Department of English
The Department of English at Franciscan University of Steubenville invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, assistant professor position beginning August 2024.
This position supports the Writing Concentration in our English Major. We seek enthusiastic candidates competent to teach Creative Writing courses, upper-level writing courses, Freshman Composition, and occasional core literature courses in the Franciscan University Core Curriculum. Courses are delivered on-ground and online. Normal teaching load is 4-4.
The successful candidate must possess a Ph.D. or other appropriate terminal degree; be committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service; and enthusiastically support Franciscan University’s mission.
