POSITION SUMMARY
Full-time, tenure track open rank position beginning August 2024 in the Communication Arts Department to teach undergraduate courses in digital video production and editing, mass media, news, management, and religious media, among other courses as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to candidates with significant experience teaching a wide range of digital media courses using a variety of contemporary production and editing tools like AVID Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Creative Cloud programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include video studio lab supervision and advising the FranciscanBeat student news channel. Research and creative work are required. A Ph.D. in the field with prior instruction experience is required, but an MFA with significant professional experience will be considered. Media certification is a plus.
