The History Department at Waldorf University invites candidates to apply for a full-time tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank. The candidate appointment will begin in August 2025. Candidates able to teach a broad range of courses including US History are encouraged to apply.
Waldorf University is a small liberal arts college with roots in the Lutheran higher education tradition that emphasizes excellence in teaching. The candidate will be expected to teach our US History survey courses, a historical methods course, and several upper-level undergraduate courses in areas of American History and/or Modern/Early Modern History. A full-time teaching load is 24 credits (typically 12 credits or 4 classes per semester). Opportunities for teaching online are also available. In addition to teaching responsibilities, full-time faculty members are expected to engage in committee work, academic advising, hold office hours, attend faculty meetings, and participate in other non-classroom activities that support the department, division, and institution.
